Xiuhcoatl, the Ataloa
The current leader of the Azhuran people is a
medium-sized man of average build. His dark skin has a rather
crimson tint to it, as if it had been blessed by Xipotec with the
flaming glory of the Sun. Having lived for over sixty years, he has
the knowledge and religious insight to guide his fellow tribesmen in
both material and spiritual matters. Xiuhcoatl is a man of few words,
but each of them seems to speak to the soul of his listeners and
uplift them with his unmatched wisdom.
Ichtaca, the Apahuac
After meeting Ichtaca, you are very unlikely to ever
find a more caring and loving human being in all Khaeros. Her very
image inspires tenderness and warmth. With her soothing smile and
plumpness of figure, she is an iconic character within the Azhuran
community, always ready to help those in need of assistance. As the
Ataloa, she is in her early sixties.
Xipil, the Atrileac
The Father’s Will is the embodiment of Xipotec’s
majestic posture and relentless, burning drive. On a daily basis, he
inspires his fellow tribesmen to be proud of their race and to work
with unrestrained ardour. However, there are rumours that Xipil might
be slowly losing his mind. Such theories, however, remain largely
unjustified, since he is still a vigorous man, at age of fourty,
both physically and mentally, and fully able to perform the
religious ceremonies that his position demands him to.
Tenoch, the eldest Atloe
One of the longest-living Azhurans of this date is
Tenoch, a very knowledgeable and wise Shaman. His weathered skin
covers long and frail limbs that cannot belie his very advanced age.
However, there is not a single other Azhuran with better council
than him. For that reason, he is always saught whenever someone
contracts a seemingly uncurable disease or simply needs spiritual
advice. He is also known for being a great storyteller and knowing
many a tale about ages past.
Yaotl, leader of the Agulepoc
Short even for an Azhuran, Yaotl is definitely not
the kind of man one would expect to lead a military group. That is,
however, until one witnesses his martial abilities. It is said that he alone,
after being completely underestimated, forced the retreat of a
couple of Mhordul Wolfriders who, amid laughter, suddenly found
themselves victimized by a series of lightning-fast kicks and
punches that struck more than one of them at the same time as Yaotl
pounced them, using the trees and whatever was available for
leverage. Dazed, confused and severely humiliated, they departed to
never return again.
