Required Files & Instructions

With our new patch, in theory, the files should work on any UO installation, no matter how old it is or how tinkered with it has been.

Step 1: Downloading and installing the client

As mentioned, any client version should work, but the client from the link below has been tested and works well:

TDS

After downloading the installation file for the client, run it normally and install the game. It is highly recommended that you install the game to a folder that you have never used for UO before.

Step 2.1: Patching

Download and install ConnectUO from their site. During installation, you might be required to install .net framework. In that case, just follow the links and instructions given to you there.

Step 2.2: Patching (alternative in case 2.1 did not work for you)

You DO NOT need to follow this step if step 2.1 worked for you. It's here merely for people who don't want (or can't manage) to install ConnectUO. If you are one of those people, download, unrar and move these files to your UO folder, overriding them:

File 1 | File 2 | File 3 | File 4 | File 5 | File 6 | File 7 | File 8 | File 9 | File 10 | File 11 | File 12 | File 13 | File 14 | File 15

Step 3: Connecting

If you patched with step 2.1, run ConnectUO and use the search bar to find Khaeros. You may add it to your favourites for ease of access thereafter. When you connect for the first time, ConnectUO will download and apply all the patches needed. It will also patch automatically for you whenever we update the patches.

If you patched with step 2.2, use client.exe to connect to the shard. You will need to manually download and apply any updated patches we release in the future.

There is a known bug at the moment with ConnectUO which will cause it to forcefully download the patches every time you connect. Until this bug is fixed, there is little point in using it. So for the time being I scratched the steps related to ConnectUO. I'll keep you posted on any new versions that work properly.

For old players: please redownload File 9, as we have updated the Dungeon Map.

Yeah, thank you. I'll update it as soon as possible.
