We will be taking the server down on Monday (01/18/09) to start implementing the new map. This change will involve a lot of tweaking about, deleting houses and NPC spawns, adding and setting up new ones, etc.
I know a lot of you were looking forward to end quests, but, at this point, we just realized that we'd either end up doing something hastily put together or taking another month planning and executing things. And, I might be wrong, but I think everyone's penises (mine included) are really throbbing with expectation for the new map and everything that comes along with it.
"What happened to our characters, then? What happened with all the plots and storylines? Does it all go to waste?"
Actually, that's one of the main reasons why we decided on not doing quests, so we can focus on documenting all those things. Next week, we will divide our attentions between setting up the new map and writing stories about what happened in those 67 years.
And the best part is: you can all assist us!
Since no one will be able to play, I invite you all to write about your characters, what happened to them, how they died, what legacy they left behind, etc.
If you are unsure of what end you wish for your character, it's a good idea to ask around and see what the others are doing. Perhaps you can be part of someone's storyline, perhaps your character can have a part in creating some of the things that will exist in the new map, etc.
The possibilities are limitless!
We will be taking the time to talk to each of you individually from monday until friday. During that time, you may present us with texts or just ideas for us to use for the lore.
We hope to put together a nice timeline of events that will tell the story of Khaeros and its inhabitants from the day in which the shard goes down to 67 years later.
Who's with me?!

IMPORTANT MECH NOTE
Everything you wish to keep needs to be in your character's backpack or bank box. Everything else will most likely be lost.
Any pet you wish to keep needs to log out with you (stand beside you and not be stabled when you log out).

Also, if there are any artworks or books you wish to be added to a library/exhibit, I will take them.

Also, our sweet and generous Eufron has decreed we may use packhorses and mercs to carry extra belongings. Make sure they log out with you though.

If you own a ship, empty the hold and summon an OS to redeed it for you.
