Howdy all, another important thing you may like to know is Khaeros has an IRC channel. This post will tell you both what it is and it’s purpose but also how to access it if you’ve never used IRC previously. First of all, Khaeros’ IRC channel is a place for discussion ranging from chatting about the game itself to everyday things but most importantly asking staff members any questions that you may have. To join the Khaeros channel you will first need a program installed to do so, the most common of which is mIRC which can be downloaded here. Once that is installed you need only select the Darkmyst server or add irc.darkmyst.org into the server information section. After filling in the required fields such as nickname join the channel #Khaeros. There are also racial channels for each of the civilizations on our shard, they are as follows. #Alyria #Azhur #Khemet #K'dath-Mal #Tyris #VhaluranThough it is likely, with the exception of #Vhaluran, that they won't be very active until the respective civilizations are opened. It would be preferable if IRC nicknames matched your Forum names, just so it's easier for us all to keep track of who's who. Secondly we would also ask that whilst using the Khaeros IRC channels that you abide by the relevant shard rules of common courtesy to one another. If you have any other queries regarding the use of IRC it may be useful to consult the Darkmyst website here or for other general queries feel free to email or PM a member of staff.

I made a newbie help channel on the same server. I know some times it's hard to get straight answers out of people, so I'm offering a strictly moderated alternative. So, if you need any help, please join:
#khaeroshelp
And we'll try to get you situated.
Edit: Just to be sure! This is an unofficial player-run room. Staff isn't affiliated with the moderation, but hopefully they'll be around to answer questions.

Before people start flaming Darian, let me say that he came to me first and asked if he could do it.
I agreed with the idea, because I think it could really help. Most players already know a lot of mechs, some even more than I do, because I keep forgetting stuff, so asking them first could be more expeditious than asking the staff (not to mention that it will give us more time to focus on other things if we do not have to answer things that are common knowledge among the veterans).

You can start shoving off the old channels, if you wish.
New channels are;
#TheEmpire
#TheSociety - Society of Rymaliel
#CityWatch - City Watch of the Empire
#TheAcademy - Academy of arts & crafts
It is also advisable for village leaders to register their own channels. Same goes for other groups.
Village channels... should probably be announced here, I think that's logical enough. So do eet, village leaders.
