I want to ask, specifically, about one of the feats that you can teach a merc. Cleave. According to the description of that feat, it takes the ally list into consideration for who'll be hit by it. Mercs don't have ally lists like players do, so is there any risk of Merc 1 cleaving into Merc 2 if they're standing near each other? Would there be any risk of Merc 1 cleaving me?

I also want to know how the training works based upon my feat levels. I've only taught my mercs feats that I have ranked to level 3, so when I've trained them they've gotten rank 3 of those feats... but is that how it works with every feat? If I have rank 1 in Flashy Attack and teach that to my merc, will the merc get rank 3 Flashy Attack or will it be limited to my level?

They take into consideration the ally list of the owner.

The different feat levels of Merc Training just allow the Trainer to train the merc more times.

Level 1 - you can train the merc if it has 0 or 1 feat.
Level 2 - you can train the merc if it has 0-3 feats.
Level 3 - you can train the merc if it has 0-5 feats.

so what determines the level of the feat the Merc will get? Will it always get level 3?
