Houses in Khaeros are usually found within the limits of a city and, for that reason, are tributary to the nation they belong to. For this reason, rather than buying a house, you will be paying seasonal (a season in-game equal a month in real life) taxes that will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account. Make sure to keep enough -copper- coins in your bank box to pay for the tax, because the script only looks for those (I might change that in the future, but for now you will have to bear with me).
Houses are always set to public. Once you are the owner, you can change any locks, either doors or containers, by simply using a blank key on them. In the case of double doors, you only need to do this to one of them and the other one will be automatically changed too.
There is no secure items, banning or anything of the like on this shard when it comes to houses. The only commands that work for houses are the following:
I wish to lock this down - used to lock things down and prevent them from decaying. I wish to release this - used to retrieve things that were previously locked down.

Some people had trouble with Carpets this week. I tested them today and they work perfectly. Just make sure to place them before anything else, or else the system will tell you they don't fit.

I wish to place a trash barrel To remove a trash barrel (or other script-created item, like a ballot box), use an axe on it. If it was placed using a deed, it should turn back into a deed after you use the axe on it.

It seems that I forgot to add here back in the day the following command:
check house rent

For people not wishing to be seen talking to their house aloud by anyone else in the room, you can use a semi-colon prior to the command, i.e. ; I wish to lock this down. It whispers the commands and it still works to achieve the goals of locking things down.
