So you are all wondering about the stableworkers yes? Well friendly old Mr. Parr is here to let you know a good deal about them.

They have a few of the staple feats,

Heavy Lifting
Potter
Glass Blower
Sculptor
Painter
and Verify Currency

But that's not why your reading this, right?

Apparently getting it on is a fine science, because you have a few feats in regards to it.

Horse Breeding
Dog Breeding
Wolf Breeding
and Racial Mounts

They all have the same changes per level that I will now let you in on.

Lvl-1 You can Breed said animal
Lvl-2 They get an additional 3 life points, both initial and maximum
Lvl-3 They get an additional 3 life points, both initial and maximum

And if that wasn't good enough, you can really breed monsters out of mounts with these feats.

Pet Feats
Extra Pet Feats
Pet Evolution

Now the juicy bits, and please do not take that as a ill humored pun, since the subject is breeding.

Pet Feats

Lvl-1 Animals you breed are born with 3 randomly assigned feat points
Lvl-2 Six
Lvl-3 Nine

Extra Pet Feats

Lvl-1 There is a chance they may be granted 3 more feat points in addition to those granted from the above skill
Lvl-2 Chance for 6
Lvl-3 Chance for 9

Pet Evolution.

Lvl-1 Pets you breed will recieve an random, additional feat point every five levels, starting at level 5, until level 15
Lvl-2 Until Level 30
Lvl-3 Until Level 45

And what if your animal picks feats you don't care for? Well with Retrain pet you can whip them into shape!

Retrain Pet

Lvl-1 You can reassign the points in one of your creatures feats into other feats ( Only works if bred after taking this feat )
Lvl-2 Up to two feats can be reassigned
Lvl-3 Up to three feats can be reassigned

But what if I have a good animal from before you ask? Well don't worry, Making a bigger better and badder pet is simple with animal training

Animal Training

Lvl-1 Breedable Creatures you control will receive fifty percent more experience when hunting near you
Lvl-2 One hundred percent
Lvl-3 One hundred and fifty

And then there is one more feat, if you are into hordes of animals at your defense. Animal Control is right up your twisted ally.

Lvl-1 Grants an additional follower slot
Lvl-2 Another one
Lvl-3 Yet another.

If you make a animal tamer I would strongly suggest finding a good bard, as later on your could use his calming powers to keep very powerful, and dangerous creatures calm while you tame them.

I am sure that any bounty hunter would love to have a level fifty assasin spider to help capture criminals.

And of course MONKEY BUTLERS!

Breeding 101

- Stableworkers have 4 basic feats for breeding: Dog Breeding, Wolf Breeding, Horse Breeding and Racial Mounts.

- The second and third level of each of those feats adds 3 lives (both to the initial and to the maximum amount) to the animals that are born after the feat is taken.

- The amount of animals that is born is dependant on the kind of animal and on the mother's level (horses and racial mounts are capped at 1, wolves are capped at 3, dogs are capped at 6).

- Creatures have 3 scales: XP Scale (dictates how much XP they need to level), Stat Scale (the number by which their stats will increase when they level) and Skill Scale (half the amount by which their skills will be increased when they level).

- When a creature is born, there is a chance their scales will improve, worsen or remain the same, based on the father's level.

- Creatures get 2 scales from the father and 1 scale from the mother, randomly.

- Pet Feats and Pet Extra Feats assign feat points to the creatures that are born from parents that mated after the feat was taken. If the father already had feats, the creatures that are born will have feats based on what the father had (with some random variation). This is still limited by the total sum of Pet Feats and the random sum of Extra Pet Feats.

- The .PetRetrain command can be used any time. You will only be able to remove 3 feats from your creature and reassign the points the creature had in those 3 feats. If you do it in the beginning, you won't be able to do it again later.

- When a creature is born, they get either the father's or the mother's hue.

- Creatures gain 1 life per level, but are capped at 9 lives (or 12 or 15, depending on the feat level of the stableworker that bred them).

- If your pet knows one or more stance, you can choose which it will use by using the .SetStance command.

- If your pet knows a maneuver, you can choose which it will use by using the .SetManeuver command.

- Pregnancy takes 5 rl days.

- When creatures are born, make sure to tame them fast, because those that aren't will be killed during the next world cleansing (happens every hour).

- When a creature is released, they become marked for termination as well. Taming them again will remove the mark.

If you have a pregnant animal, keep them with you at all times, so you can feed it and make sure you will be there when it goes into labour.

If you leave them somewhere, or stable them, they'll possibly give birth to their offspring when you're not around and you don't want that.

Keep them with you and log out directly adjacent to them, so that they will log out with you. That way even if their gestation clock ticks, they will only go into labour when you log back in again.

Pets born after you have the appropriate feats can have the following feats themselves:

"Brute Strength";
"Quick Reflexes";
"Cleave";
"Evade";
"Damage Ignore";
"Fast Healing";
"Critical Strike";
"Savage Strike";
"Crippling Blow";
"Enhanced Dodge";
"Martial Defence";
"Flurry of Blows";
"Focused Attack";
"Defensive Stance";
"Rage";

See the feat descriptions and other posts for how this works!

Pets are born with (combat) feats if a stable master with the proper breeding feats has them at the time of conception of the baby animal.

A few new commands not listed above are

.geld - to remove the ability to be .mate'd from a male horse (or other animal that can be bred)

.brand - to add the stable name to the animal

Animal trainers will now be able to stable your pets. The fee is 1 copper every 2 real-life hours per pet. Pets are saved on the animal trainer, so you can't stable a pet in Vhaluran and claim it in Tyris. To stable a pet, click on the animal trainer and choose "Stable", or say a sentence with "Stable" in it. To reclaim the pets, you can say a sentence with "Claim" in it, or click on the animal trainer and choose either "Claim all Pets" or "Summon your Pet". The latter, as well as saying a sentence with "claim list", will bring up a gump listing all the pets you have stabled there. Additionally, when a pet is stabled, you receive a ticket, that can be handed to the animal trainer to recover the pet. That ticket can be given, sold or looted, which allows Stableworkers to sell their pets on vendors now. The ticket gets updated when the pet is deleted or unstabled and shows as "Expired", to prevent lameness.

Thank you for the reply. I was not aware of those commands. Are there more?

What I wanted to ask is which skills, other feats or level are necessary to have to take the class feats. But I got an answer from Jabber who told me it's lvl 30 for some feats, certain skills at 100% and that there is a feat chain Dog breeding -> Wolves and Horse -> Racial mount. And I think that is all.

The only ones specific to race are the horse, the racial mount, hounds and wolves. Each race has a specific one and they spawn near the cities (exception being the ridgeback which still spawn in the jungles). These are all the breedables plus the work horse is breedable. Most animals can be tamed, just not bred.

Racial Mounts

Tyrean Dire Bear
Vhalurian War Horse
Mhordul Dire Wolf
Khemetar Giant Scarab
Azhuran Ridgeraptor
Alyrian Forest Strider

Horses

Tyrean
Vhalurian
Mhordul
Khemetar
Azhuran
Alyrian

Wolves

Tyrean (snow wolf)
Vhalurian (gray wolf)
Mhordul (timber wolf)
Khemetar (jackal)
Azhuran (maned wolf)
Alyrian (red wolf)

Dogs

Tyrean (husky)
Vhalurian (bloodhound)
Mhordul (wolfdog)
Khemetar (saluki)
Azhuran (retreiver)
Alyrian (shepherd)
