Not having this command seems more an OOC punishment than an IC difficulty to be overcome. I would suggest a loot command that would search all corpses within a 2 tile radius around you.
You could set a .lootcontainer, where all the loot would go. You could set it to pick up money, arrows, gems, everything, etc.
Please, please, please. This would make everyone's life so much easier. Especially the handicapped, like Cynara! >>

There's already too much money in the world, having a command to quick-gain money seems redundant. This would be great for item pieces, but if you're hunting so fast you can't check corpses for item pieces you really aren't trying hard enough.
Have to say I'm against this because it always ended up being the YAYQUESTREWARDITEMGRAB macro on DA.

I agree with this, there is no point in making the game inconvenient for the player himself. you can lower the amount of copper from 1 to 0.5 if you like but still allow the player to not have a mental prolapse by trying to target a copper piece while being attacked by a horde. besides I have no idea how you chars are wealthy but none of mine are and on the contrary even barely able to sustain a shack yet this is off the subject, the subject is carpal tunnel and I must say it's redundant.

I also agree with Rossm's statement...i mean..look if OS see you abusing this command, by looting while still fighting then of course they should be punished. thats retarded...

If it allows for abuse why even add it? Are you guys -really- that upset about grabbing the 1 copper off a corpse? If you are, just leave the 1 copper. It's not such a big deal.
If you want to be able to hit a button and grab dozens of item pieces without having to look through corpses that's another thing.. and I can't say you deserve a command for that.
If we are adding .grab because coins are small, let's make it only work on coins.

Fair compromise. Just make it work for coins and arrows, things that are often a pain in the ass to loot.

Darian, I believe the sole reason for this is that as you said "If we are adding .grab because coins are small, let's make it only work on coins."
I just see no logic in inconvenience that isn't related to the game itself/progression/rp.

also, if you guys feel that copper is too easy just lower the amounts but IMO it's a lot more attractive to both new & existing players.

OP: You could set a .lootcontainer, where all the loot would go. You could set it to pick up money, arrows, gems, everything, etc.
Hence why it's a compromise. If this has to go in, I vote for ammunition and coins only.

I wholeheartedly disagree. You're just trying to ruin my speedlooting fun!

Meanwhile, at the country club..
You know what's wrong with players theese days Rutger?
What's that, old boy?
Its that instant gratification you see, and the easymode playstyle. .bandageself? Hah! Sloth! We had to click and point and click again to heal, and I still do damnit. Item pieces? Luxury! Why when we wanted an EO/MW we had to wait or a smith, meybe spend some CP on mining to be his ore-slave for a week, and we were happy!
Mmmyeees.. One wonders what will be next? Too lazy to loot? Heaven forbid. If they are that lazy, why just not hire a chineese goldfarmer to do it for them?
Indeed.
Indeed, more tea, my good man?
Why yes, thank you. But this is the last cup before we log on and kill some noobs.

Yeah it's not like there's no death system (or life points), Mages don't use reagents a level system & feats etc etc
I've played UO since 97, and I've played on some shards that have implemented this (never to have any issues with it as far as I've seen)... all it does is remove latency & mouse agility requirements from the player itself, it's not like life points/death system or Mages not using reagents that actually has anything to do with char progression and the easiness of the game.
Edit: as I said, lower the amount of copper but spare the player himself... and regarding pieces and etc mentioned by Dess that's out of topic completely.
