Richard Falcourt, King of Vhaluran
Richard is the son of the prior King of Vhaluran,
Marcus Falcourt. In his early thirties, he is a tall, well built man,
whose body and face carry some scattered scars. With rich blue eyes
and dark, neatly kept brown hair, he has the looks of his late
father, or so those who knew Marcus often say. Although Richard has
an intimidating look about him, it does not shadow his courageous
and just spirit. As the King, the state of Vhaluran speaks on what a
man he is: one that makes his people and the Gods proud. His
presence amongst citizens of his nation is not as frequent as it use
to be, but it does not make him a man to hide behind the thick walls
of his castle when he is needed.
Gabriel Caliborne, the
First Knight
Gabriel is an earnest man in his late thirties, whose
accomplishments as a Knight of Vhaluran leave no doubt as to his
bloodline. Being a direct descendant of King Gareth, there have
always been many expectations regarding the young Caliborne’s
actions. However, time and again he has proven himself to be one of the
most honest men in Vhaluran. For these reasons, the current First
Knight enjoys a prestige unmatched by any of his peers, with the
exception of King Richard Falcourt himself, even though
some might say that Gabriel has become somewhat of a sad figure. If
true, this is probably due to the fact that he has never had enough time to pursue
any meaningful relationship or personal goals.
Andrei Corvinus, Knight and Arena Master
House Corvinus has always been one to produce great
and yet terribly controversial men. Andrei, for that matter, is no
exception. While having undergone a successful and praiseworthy time
as both a squire and a knight, the young Corvinus is also known for
having a hard time keeping his temper under control. His towering
height, jet black hair and pale skin lend him an imposing complexion
that certainly befits his role as Master of the Vhalurian Arena.
Notwithstanding his somewhat unstable temper, Andrei is quite
respected among his peers and people, even though his rivalry with
the First Knight sometimes tends to border on a childish-like
fixation.
Nicolas Preston, the Vhalurian Patriarch
It would probably be an impossible task to find
someone who knows more about Elysia and the Gods than Nicolas does.
Despite being in his late forties, Nicolas would easily be mistaken
as being a lot older. His hair is slowly turning away from the rich
black hue it once had into an aging grey. Clearly a man of wisdom, a
teaching from Patriarch Preston could change your whole outlook on
life. Do not let his aging face fool you, though, since this
prominent figure is anything but a feeble old fool.
Christopher Sharpe, Vhalurian Army Captain
Christopher is incredibly young for his rank, which has led some to believe
he is not prepared for the responsibility he was entrusted with. Very loyal to his country
and experienced in the battlefield despite his age, he is a man of humble origins, raised as
an orphan in the Cathedral. His good manners and knowledge make him look like a soft man,
yet he is very strict to transgressors and enemies of Vhaluran.
Christopher blames himself for the death of the former Captain, Julian Mandoen, and
perhaps for that reason he puts too much effort on his work, sometimes losing sight of his personal life.
